Spaetzle iron - Plastic

Easily make your own Spätzle or Nokedli with this plastic Spätzle iron with accompanying spatula. Spätzle or Nokedli is a well-known food accessory in Europe but still relatively unknown in Sweden.

Mix wheat flour, eggs, water and salt to make a batter. Place the Spätzle iron over a pot of simmering lightly salted water and pour a little batter at a time over the Spätzle iron and use the spatula to scrape and pass the batter through the holes. Let the batter drip into the pot and catch it with a slotted spoon as it floats to the surface. A good accompaniment to stews or meat.
