Our history

UngerskMat.se - was founded in 2008 by Laszlo, who was born in Hungary in the 1950s. With a love and passion for Hungarian cuisine and food culture, he started one of Sweden's very first e-commerce companies in food and delicacies with the unique store concept UngerskMat.se

While Laszlo is now enjoying his retirement, UngerskMat.se is still run as a small family business by Johanna, Laszlo's daughter, together with her husband and three young children. With almost 20 years in the industry and with the same passion for Hungarian food culture, we hope to be able to deliver delicious, high-quality delicacies from Hungary for many years to come!

With us you will find a carefully selected range of all our favorites that Hungarian cuisine has to offer. We mix well-known brands with small artisanal producers around Hungary. In this way, we hope to promote Hungarian food culture and invite you as a customer to partake in it, all the way to your door!

The range includes everything from groceries and delicacies to unique kitchen utensils and crafts. We strive to have a vibrant store and are always on the lookout for new and exciting products.
