Gyulai Bondkorv comes from the town of Gyula in southeastern Hungary, an area with a long tradition of sausage making. The recipe was created in the 19th century and has since been refined by local artisans. The sausage is made from selected pork, Hungarian paprika, garlic and natural smoked salt – without artificial additives.
The manufacturing process is time-consuming: the sausage is smoked over beech wood and dried for several weeks, which gives it its characteristic deep flavor and aroma.

Awards and honors

Gyulai Bondkorv is internationally recognized and has been granted a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) within the EU – meaning it can only be produced in the Gyula region according to traditional methods.
