Hungarian breakfast - Bundáskenyér

Cook a delicious Hungarian breakfast for the weekend with Bundáskenyér!

Slices of white bread dipped in beaten egg and fried in oil. Serve warm and season with paprika and flaked salt.

about 4 port

  • 6-8 slices of sourdough bread (preferably yesterday's)
  • about 4 eggs
  • sunflower oil for frying
  • salt
  • paprika powder
  • Possibly a splash of milk

Crack the eggs into a deep plate and whisk together lightly. Dip the bread slices so that they are soaked in egg on both sides. Then fry them until golden in a frying pan with plenty of sunflower oil. Season with salt and sprinkle with a thin layer of paprika before serving.

Serve with fresh vegetables and a cup of strong coffee!
