A Hungarian dish that is just as good for everyday use as it is for a dinner party. A real home classic in Hungarian cuisine and served piping hot straight from the oven. A practical dish where all the ingredients are cooked in one dish!
Ingredients:
About 800g firm potatoes
6 boiled, sliced eggs
5 dl sour cream (or 50/50 sour cream and creme fraise to imitate Hungarian Tejföl)
Do this:
Set the oven to 200 degrees.
Boil the potatoes almost completely in well-salted water. Let cool, then peel the potatoes and slice into centimeter-thick slices. Slice Gyulai Sausage Original into centimeter-thick slices and heat them in a frying pan so that the fat melts and the sausage is lightly fried. Pour the sour cream into the frying pan and let it cook together with the sausage.
Butter an ovenproof dish and layer potato slices, egg slices, and finally pour over the sausage mixture. Place in the oven for about 15 minutes!
